Why is facing rejection so important for a man?
The best phases of my life have been after both my breakups. The first breakup at the age of 20 induced me to explore spirituality and fitness, both being strong pillars in my life now. As they say, ‘what doesn’t break you makes you stronger’. While the first breakup helped with character-building, the second one helped in building my career. I had grown at least 2x in the year post the breakup compared to when I was in the relationship.
While writing this, I feel like it is so difficult in words to express what a person actually feels when their partner chooses to be alone over being with them.
When people go through breakups, they lose a lot of the confidence that they have in themselves, and the only right way to rebuild that confidence is by working on yourself. Instead of filling the new void with vices and temporary flings, one can actually fill it with experiences that involve exploring themselves.
Honestly, I thought that I would have a lot to say about this, but the only thing I really have to say is: Sometimes when people choose to leave you, it is more like a blessing in disguise, just wait for it to unravel itself.
dishen, out.
